Lau Sau, electrician states:-
I am in the employ of the China Light and Power Company, Kowloon. On the 12th June, 1920, I went with the Baropean electrician to Wing Bui On Shipyard, Cheung Sha Wan The light in the hall of the above place was out of order and would not light. The European looked round the place and examined the wires and remarked that they were too old and would have to be replaced. Deceased then took hold of the wire hanging from the roof in the centre of the hall, The wire stuck to his finger and he fell to the ground carrying the wire with him. When he fell, his head struck the ground. He became unconscious at once and died a few
minutes after.
I telephoned to the works and told them there of what had occurred and Mr. Nicholls and the Manager ceme along. Dr. Wong came with them and said that he was dead, I saw the body removed to the Police Station. At that time it was raining heavily and the ground was very wet. Deceased was standing on the ground at the time of the
accident.
